The Mindy Project from this week influenced this playlist heavily. I am kind of in love with Danny Castellano, although I'm kind of in love with a lot of imaginary guys so that isn't saying muchhh... Somewhat on topic, I watched One Day last night (and bawled) and how insanely attractive is Jim Sturgess in that movie? I'm very open to rom-com recommendations, seems like it's going to be a bit of a summer pastime.

My big plans for the weekend include working, a ballet performance, reading books (novel concept over here y'all) and making some graduation announcements. To me, "Graduation announcements" seem kind of like the least tacky way to ask your extended family for a monetary gift to commemorate your recent foray into (broke) adulthood. At least you're giving them a charming photo of you in your cap and gown??

Having a rihanna moment on this monday morning while I crochet a baby gift and play construction overseer at my parent's house. This is basically a post of too many instagrams from the past 2 months. I seem to have gotten a little bit behind on this type of thing... tragic, I know. Definitely planning on making an insta scrapbook (a la elsie) sometime in the next month (aka when I have unpacked the boatload of scrapbook paraphernalia).

I was impressed with Forever 21 this morning clearly. I keep trying to swear off the place in exchange for more "grown up" shopping but it is proving a difficult feat. They do allow you to wear something trendy a few times and feel little guilt for goodwill-ing it the next season.

It doesn't hurt that there are women who pull off their pieces so well (check out Signe's blog, she has the BEST f21 finds). I figure it will be a few more years before I'm completely weaned off the place, as for now... I'll be needing that brooch asap (mostly so I can reference this snl video).

Currently questioning my life choices as I most definitely suffer from "grass-is-always-greener" syndrome. Three months ago I was raving about how excited I was to move back to Texas, now I find myself yearning to get back to Montreal. It took leaving to realize how much of a legit family I had up at school, and boy do I miss that support system. Trying to part with that lifestyle is proving difficult, I may or may not get a little teary eyed (so out of character) looking at photos of my favorites. Apparently I did actually become a social person in the past four years (who would have thought!).

The transition back to living at home has been all around weird. I feel like the person I am while living under my parent's roof is drastically different than the person I am when I'm out on my own, and I might just like the independent version better! I'm hoping this all (somewhat) resolves itself once I busy up with my three part time jobs and volunteering but for the next few weeks I might just be a bit of a  DQ, because I can :p

What I'd love to know from you is how you made it through the awkward transition from post grad living in your parent's house to full on independent adult?

Lucky for me and my classmates, our post exam pre graduation period is insanely long (1 month!) so we get to daydream a little more than the rest of y'all!
