Perfectly Pink

I love everything about this photo from Vogue's March issue. The whole story is amazing but I can't get over the way she's perched up there in that gown. I'm not even a huge Kate Moss fan by any means but this one is up there on my list of all time favorite photos. The knocked over lamp is awesome, very perfectly imperfect.

A Taste of Summer

Last week we had some pretty gorgeous weather and as you can see, these pale legs made their first appearance of the season. All of downtown was packed with sunbathers, the Tim Horton's sold out of iced cap cups, and all of us ghoulishly pigmented folks got our rosy-almost-a-sunburn-glow on. It was so beautiful that my 8 am yoga class was moved onto the outdoor football field and guess what? We literally did sun salutations. I was ecstatic :) We even did some spring cleaning around the apartment which did wonders for my neat freak tendencies. The only downside was that those few days made me slightly unprepared to handle this weeks snow/rain/hail/slush forecast in which the big puffy jacket is making an encore appearance. I'm a summer lover through and through!

Feelings

Something about the way Lewis wrote really speaks to me. I love this one, especially if you think of it in terms of anger or negativity in general. If I ever get asked the cliche "what person would you want to have dinner with dead or alive?" I won't be tongue tied!

There is something about a crisp black and white photo that I can't get enough of! I love that with a little monochrome action you can make modern photos feel vintage. Its a little ironic because I hardly ever wear B & W, I think there's definitely an art to it (aka preventing the whole "can I take your drink order now?" look haha). Instead I'm feeling inspired to make an entire scrapbook monochrome, challenge accepted!

Little Doggies

I'm definitely one of those people who tears up every time an animal cruelty commercial comes on. There's something about those puppies and their sweet little faces that makes me melt instantly! When I'm away at school I realize all of the things I take for granted at home, including spending time with my puppies. Introducing Jack the sheltie and Georgie the mutt (who is indeed a girl dog with a boy dog name). 

Jack is the more majestic looking but ironically the worse behaved!

Tangerine Dreams

Just a few pinterest finds I've been lusting over lately. Possibly the classiest way to do a white bikini, a grapefruit slash papaya leather jacket by Carven, DVF lavender skirt, a gorgeous wide brim hat (for my ghastly complexion of course), some vintage patterns, the ever chic equipment blouse, Ali with a tulip (my favorite flower), and beautiful earrings by none other than J.Crew.

Namesake

An oldie but a goodie and also one of my favorite bands of all time, hence the namesake!

Bonjour

I'm so excited to use this blog both as a way to connect with distant friends and family and as my own little creative corner to fill with anything that inspires me. Can't wait to get started :)
